The Co-op and markets should be able to stay on the premises as a part of a redevelopment, rather than more alcohol related tourism, breweries, distilleries etc. Markets actually serve the community.

A truly democratic and social experience - the Dublin Flea not only creates employment and fosters a type of business that has long been the centerpiece of Dublin 8 living - it is a genuine destination in itself and one which many thousands look forward to every single month. To loose it, or compromise it's casual nature would be to destroy a Dublin 8 institution.

One of my favourite places in Dublin. It would be a disgrace to get rid of it. Such a culturally important part of Dublin

NewMarket square definitely needs an update but not in a take away the markets, pave it in marble way. Keep the markets, great for the community and getting people into the liberties, tourists love it, teelings must love it too as they get the punters in when markets are in. Please do not put more shiny, glassy apartment blocks here and leave this spot alone!!

Big business interests should not be allowed feed off the hard work of social entrepreneurs in establishing and sustaining this community hub and tourist destination. Thanks to all involved in Dublin Flea, I love it!

Please consider the implications for those who avail of and work in the market and in the area.

Dublin 8 has so few amenities for the community, it would be a total devastation of the area if something as important to locals as this market was taken away from us.

The monthly and weekly markets are a cultural and economic asset to the D8 area, and Dublin as a whole. They have become part of the fabric of Dublin life and can't be sacrificed in the name of development.

The Dublin Flea Market is a wonderful, free to attend, family friendly event that brings lots of different people together to enjoy browsing, buying, selling, chatting and catching up with each other. It has enriched the area greatly and is an event I look forward to each month.

Let's keep some of the inner city for the gems like Dublin Flea. The area should not just contain corporate entities. Dublin Flea and other initiatives have made the area what it is today.
