While development is welcome community and cultural spaces need to be a central aspect to any development. We need a living city with thriving communities. In the future more and more people will move inside the m50 and they need living spaces that foster a cultural identity not a sterile isolated existence. The social fabric of these spaces are essential for a sustainable future that encourages social enagagement and integration and not one that supports individualism.

There are not enough of these venues! We need more, not closing them down! Our local flea market was closed don last month. I'm curious to see what money grubbing company will buy the land and put a chain hotel on it!!!!

As a local resident, the co-op and flea market are significant contributors to the cultural and social fabric of the area bringing community and visitors together. It is crucial to maintain them and DCC should ensure that greater space is made available and also to implement the plans for the Universal Cultural Square being made available to stall holders.
