This eyesore and hazard was offered to Hennessey unfairly. Until and unless all businesses are offered the same and/or the Village becomes pedestrian-only, take it down.

Rebel Republic has been a smash precisely because it opens up to the outside and people enjoy it . Need to extend this to the other restaurants.

The Dining Deck brings visitors and shoppers to the entire village. I have personally used this a few times and loved it.
Go by Rebel RePUBlic on any evening and you will the deck is packed. Just imagine how successful this part of the city will be with a number of these decks bringing diners and shoppers to the area.

I believe that the outside patio is very much a benefit to both the local businesses on that section of Catalina Avenue and the city in general. That patio significantly raises the curb appeal of Rebel Republic. The atmosphere is significantly better to an already nice experience. I believe that regardless if people want to eat at Rebel Republic they see the atmosphere that this patio creates and I believe that also inspires others to sit outside at creme de la crepe and Hennessey's and Sophie's Place as well. I believe that this effect increases business and increased business translates into increased tax revenue for the city. I believe that this is infinitely more valuable to the city in the long run than reestablishing a couple of parking meters.

No better way to enjoy our weather than to sit outside and enjoy a good meal on this deck. Removing it forces me to take my business to Hermosa for a similar dining experience.
