Cancelled my trip to the river this week as I was there last week. It's too dam low. Use the water to offer the fish a break. The rain will come soon, and then it will be washing over the dam and cause another flood, causing me to cancel more trips down there. Where the hell is the DEC now?

This year was the first time I ever had to cancel a trip to fish the Hendrickson hatch due to poor river flows and high temps. With nearly full reseviours I cannot understand why anyone would want to harm the incredible resource and the local economy supported by sport fisherment who come to this historic and incredible river system.

A valuable resource is being damaged, if not lost, as well as commerce for the Upstate NY region, due in large part to the narcissist views and actions in the name of downstate water supply management. Consideration, if not legislation at the State level should be enacted to repair the leaking aqua-duct system that transports the valuable water resource to the NYC Metropolitan area. Millions of gallons of water a day are being wasted due to this aged and damaged transport system. The water being lost would be more than adequate to maintain water levels in the river system to alleviate thermal stress and promote tourism. In the interim it must be mandated that that river levels, through reservoir releases, be kept at a reasonable minimum flow levels that will enable the upstate region to attain in season commerce projections and goals.

The overall health of the Delaware River system depends upon us! We have forever changed the natural course and ecosystem of the river because of the dams/reservoirs--it's our responsibility to protect and conserve the river!

For all the smart people in high postions , I cant fathom why we/they do not realize we have to protect resources we cannot replace. $ will be made across the board? Whats the problem here??
