Regular overseas visitor to Hancock/Deposit to fish the Upper Delaware Rivers.
Astonished at the lack of environmental support for Blue Riband fisheries.

I travel about 7 times a year, and stay 4 days each trip to NY state to fish in the best river this side of the Mississippi. This river system is the jewel of the 'East' – but it won't be if there's a fish kill due to low water. Please start & sustain a thermal release now. The economic impact of this recreational 'gem' is enormous, don't let your inaction cripple an amazing part of this beautiful state.

Time is now to act. Conditions are dire. Please consider the environment. Reservoirs are near capacity and could use a buffer to protect against an event similar to the flood of 2006 anyway.

Please release water from the reservoirs to maintain a safe temperature and a good flow rate in the Delaware river or permanent ecological damage could be done.

Maybe it's about time that down-state officials start looking at up-state NY as something more than just another state park for their own personal use. Quit suffocating everybody with all the draconian regulations on everything so residents can earn a living, and everyone can enjoy the assets it has!!

The upper Delaware System fishery is a National treasure that must be protected. Cold water releases are essential to maintaining the integrity of this unique fishery that supports the local economy in an area where job opportunities are limited for locals. I have been fishing this area for 25 years and recognize the delicate balance that is maintained by cold water releases.

One of the best areas in US. It amazes me how few people are concerned in our area. When the water gets too warm , it not only kills the trout, that is only the start of the problems.
