Save the Delaware ecosystem with water release, its imperative!!!

I come up from ct. Several times a year. Want to come back next week if water is ok.

Release the h2o!

Full Reservoirs and unusual conditions call for a thermal release to protect the fishery and eco system. Hancock gauge in the West Branch approached 74 degrees F two days in row. Local economy is hurting. Please provide a modest release to improve the situation.

Please increase the water flows!! It is not only 1 species you are affecting it is probably hundreds!!

Please manage the in-stream flows in a manner appropriate for the fishery. Planned releases will help control rising water temperatures and support this wild fishery.

Please release some water to help the eco system in the lower river.

Release enough water to protect the fishery there is plenty of storage in the reservoir system to spare. No one is advocating for fish over people!

Mr. Mayor, don't just talk the talk, walk the walk. Care about the environment that your city affects, and also the people your city impacts.

When the drinking water reservoirs were created, a wonderful ecosystem was created as well. NYCDEP is obligated to give the ecosystem they had a hand in building the same consideration it gives the drinking water supply.

The past few days have highlighted a very real problem that the the Delaware River Watershed has struggled with now for several seasons- the fact that spring has become increasingly warmer, sooner, and as a result the FFMP fails to protect the river for the brief but nonetheless very threatening high air/water temps periods that occur during low flow periods of the FFMP in April and May. This is not about demanding more water all the time. This is about having some plan in place to provide SHORT TERM relief to the rivers and fish when the FFMP's low flow regiment for spring is not enough to keep rivers safe in short term hot spells. These freak but increasingly more common hot streaks in spring are usually only last a week long or less, and therefore the additional water required to offset these hot temps and limit the impacts on water temps would be very minimal to the reservoir storage capacity while critically important to the Delaware system and its trout. This issue needs to be addressed as too many people and living things depend on this river for such an unnecessary problem to persist. John Clark
