I strongly request that there be scheduled releases of water from our reservoirs to insure maintaining the excellent fisheries we have here in NY, and to keep sportsman and women alike coming to our towns and villages to fish , as well as contribute to the economic environment in those towns and villages, many who make their living indirectly from the opportunities healthy streams with healthy sporting fish provides.

Please manage your cold water releases to sustain the Delaware River Trout fishery

Please do what is necessary to ensure the continued health of this amazing fishery and important local economic driver.

I am bringing a group of 12 fly anglers from northern Ohio in July to fish the Delaware west branch. Each angler will spend an average of $1200 during the trip, mostly in the Delaware watershed. That's a total of $14,000 for one week of fly fishing, nearly all going to LOCAL businesses and residents. It is imperative that water temperatures are stabilized in the range that allows aquatic life to flourish. Excessively high water temperatures kill the trout and cook the macroinverabrates trout feed on. Simply put, continued high water temperatures on the Delaware could cause the 12 of us to take our $14,000 to Pennsylvania, Michigan or Tennessee. States that value flyfishing and fly fishermen. This is extremely important for the local businesses that depend on this beautiful resource to thrive in our area.

Please honor my request for an immediate water release, protect the water temperature and excellent aquatic river life. Best in the East.

I normally would be fishing the West Branch and staying at local motels and eating at local restaurants. My trip usually costs me around $1000. This year with little water and rising temperatures I deided to remain local and fish the Battenkill.

I am a fish biologist as well as a fisherman. The thermal conditons in the Delaware system are inexcusable with the reservoirs at nearly full capacity. The high temperatures pose a very real threat to the fish and invertebrates in the river. Please take action quickly.

Please release water from the reservoirs. Your decision has a great impact on not only the fishery, but to the surrounding economy and people it directly supports.

Please recognize this valuable resource and make the right decision for the future of the river the fish.

Please release water from the reservoirs that impact the East and West branches of the Delaware River. I am a long time fisherman and canoeing enthusiast that has seen the devastation to the fishery when water levels are low and temperatures rise. When the river has experienced conditions that exist at the present time the fish kill has been significant. I implore you to do something to mitigate a very serious situation.

Give us water or give us death

Save the trout. My group of 5,visits the area every year and spends thousands on food lodging and services.

The people of Deposit and Hancock need the revenue brought in by this fishery. It won't happen when the water levels are so low.

Please help protect a wonderful watershed

I spend a lot of money fishing this system of rivers, and to not provide the fish the cold water they need is just plain economic assault on the communities along the rivers.
