Is our local government out to destroy our cities creative culture or something? "Revitalize newcastle" is a hoax and the council should be ashamed of itself. What else are yas guna shut down?

It’s absolutely ridiculous that they want to stop the progress of such an inclusive, community-oriented store, yet preach about their attempts to “revitalise” Newcastle. Power to the people and let’s show these jokers how much small business means to, contributes to and is crucial for the community!

The deck is entirely appropriate to the whole “eat street” environment of Darby St and should remain as is.

As a small business owner, seeing outdated or over-generalised legislature cost people their livelihood (which is tied to by necessity stimulating urban growth and development of our city) is something to be ashamed of. I have to say, fortunately I am not investing in the renewal of Newcastle, as it is most assuredly an unwise investment while these rulings are haphazardly thrown around, knowingly slowing the development and prosperity of our city, and harming our locals and their families for which they provide.

Surely NCC have bigger issues than terrorising local small business in newcastle? Is there anyone at NCC that is under 40, And isn’t offended by living life anymore? How do you revitalise a city that has an out of date council with a narrow minded way of thinking?

I would like to see the deck stay in it’s place. It is a unique attraction that caters to many in an otherwise boring car space. Let’s see Newcastle city council continue to support small business and not hinder them.

Save the deck ❤️❤️ It provides a fantastic atmosphere for a dark car park! NCC should be promoting small business’ not disrupting them. Go pick on someone your own size and do something more important with your time!

I too am trying to make a small business work in Newcastle at this quiet time so it would be great if we got a little help instead of trying to destroy us small businesses at this challenging time

People who choose to live in a city should expect some noise. If you want to revitalise Newcastle you need the small businesses!
