What a wonderful show of support for an organization only trying to enrich the community

Clearly a few cannot take this awesome production from so many. its a favorite for us, our kids, and out community. Please leave it alone!

In a time where adults and children alike are addicted to their mobile devices, it is organizations like the Curtain Theatre that allow us to return to our roots as actual creative human beings.

Save this theatre!! It is a wonderful addition to our community.

Without art we are just monkeys hitting each other. Independent theatre is a gift to the community by lifelong volunteers who understand the transformative power of theatre and have dedicated their lives to this offering out of kindness. No money is ever made from these ventures. They are gracious offerings. We cannot allow the poets to vanish from this area lest we become totally dead in spirit. It is by no secret why the city wants the theatre out. Take a guess. When the last poet's are gone from this area it will be a pretty dead place!

Live arts in nature engage the community heart, capacities like reflection and introspection, keep it beating without which humanity and humanism perish. In an era of ever-increasing, dehumanizing, hi-tech, it's imperative that venues like these be protected.

As a Mill Valley resident whose family and children love this local theater, please let's keep this vital traditional alive and making Mill Valley the unique and special jewel that it is!!

The summer experience of Shakespeare in Old Mill Park by the Curtain Theatre is one of the most interesting and culturally enhancing experiences of living in Mill Valley. The beauty of experiencing classic theatre under the red wood tree canopy, the opportunity to go again and again, and even attend the rehearsals leading up to the performance weeks, has been tremendously inspiring to my daughters (now age 6 & 9). They look forward to Curtain Theatre’s performance every year and go as frequently as they can get mom and dad to take them. My 6 year old even planned her birthday party last summer around attending, and at least 10 children had an opportunity of a first time exposure to Shakespeare through her post party walk to the park to see the show. It would be a travesty and absolutely out of alignment with the community, to curtail use of Old Mill Park’s outdoor amphitheater for such fabulous, high quality, free cultural experiences. If anything, programming of this kind should be expanded. It’s a tremendous asset to our Mill Valley community! To the residents who live in the area who are uncomfortable, it may be time to trade in your home for an alternative mill valley location. There are many other beautiful places to live in the area that are not as close and center to this very special community gathering location. Wishing you all the best

This is a true gem of Marin and it must be continued. The plays and actors are wonderful!

Keep going Curtain Theatre!

I've lived in, or had family in Mill Valley all my life, and spent my childhood playing in the park. I frequently go to the library and Community Church adjoining the park, and have gone to the Curtain Theater for years. Keep it as is.

I hope the Curtain continues it’s magic at the amphithéâtre. Perhaps invite all the neighbors to a champagne dress rehearsal ? Sort of their very own block party?
