These performances are at the heart of Mill Valley - they should not be curtailed. I have lived in the neighborhood for several years and completely support the various usages of the park, including the Curtain Theatre productions, none of which I find noisy or intrusive.

The Curtain Theater is one of those unique and amazing things about Mill Valley. It is unbelievable to have such high-quality Shakespearian theater in the redwoods. And quite honestly, they are not that loud. The kids playing are much louder so would you propose that we limit access of Old Mill to kids as well? If anything, we should extend the performances of the Curtain. If you buy a house near Old Mill, you should expect some noise, it is a public park. Otherwise buy a home somewhere else.

This is an awesome, free tradition enjoyed by thousands. When you move near an amphitheater, you must expect to hear noises coming from the theater. The limited daylight rehersals and performances are more than reasonable.

The Curtain Theater productions annually contribute greatly to the rich artistic culture that exists in Marin County. Perhaps some kind of an agreement or compromise could be forged wherein rehearsal times could be limited to just the week prior to Opening Day, rather than conducting rehearsals throughout the 4-5 week period prior to Opening.

More art, not less! Get back to our roots. This is a creative haven. It will lose all of its character without art. If you object to community and art...please move elsewhere.

This is ridiculous -- Curtain Theater is a beloved part of the culture of Mill Valley. This is a public park & should be enjoyed by all.

The park and activities have been there a long time. You buy a home near a park you should expect activities. Park is for all.

Why now? Shakespeare in the park has been ongoing for years. Why the complaints now? Just moved to the neighborhood and want to change it? Please look betond the end of your nose to see how valuable this activity is to so many. Don’t be so selfish! Enough already!

I heard the complaint was about the incessant weddings (private events) vs the plays and movies (public events). Does anyone know if these different events are controlled / permitted in the same way?

This theatre company is an absolute gem and a true asset to the community. We love attending these high quality performances! And, it is imperative that actors have rehearsals on the stage they will perform on. I would welcome this activity next door to me if I lived near a theatre. Please, please support this wonderful endeavor. Who would we be as a community without art?!!

We live next to the park and would be so sad to not have these cultural events available for the community to enjoy. The energy and community gathering is part of what we love about Mill Valley!

The Curtain Theater brings joy to so many. It must not be stopped. They do not rehearse at night. We neighbors should not be so intolerant.
