The performing arts connect people in a way nothing else can. There’s a humanity and humility that you can’t find elsewhere. Support the performing arts!

Curtain Theater provides a rare, free cultural service in a public venue. Please let community theatre prevail over NIMBY interests.

As I embark on creating more theater opportunities for children, I shudder to think that others want to eliminate a delightful theater program in their neighborhood.

I have gotten so much pleasure out of the Curtain Theatre performances. They offer off the charts talent during FREE performances for anyone who wants to attend. We need more of this in the world, not less.

This is an important community use of a public space, that has a long history and benefit to the local and greater community. It should not be curtailed. Public outdoor theater has a special place in the community life and education of the young and needs to continue.

We need more public theater not less. I love watching plays in the redwoods. Save Curtain so my kid can experience the magic too.

Theatre is an important and wonderful part of many bay area communities. Don’t edge theatre out of your community!

Please don’t take away this enlightening event - it is historic in every way and should therefore be nurtured and encouraged - not destroyed forever.

The Curtain theater is a valuable resource to the Mill Valley community, and can’t realistically survive on the limitations suggested. Let the Curtain survive!

Live Theatre is one of the most enriching and LOCAL uses any park can be put to. It enriches the soul as well as providing entertainment. Say NO to NIMBY. After all, they chose to live next to the park which has a TRADITION dating back many years. Lets not be a nation of folks listening to headphones and watching TMZ. Go outside, breathe the fresh air, and WATCH A PLAY!

Live Shakespeare in the park is about one of the best uses an outdoor stage can be put to.

The summer performances of the Curtain Theatre company on the Old Mill Park Amphitheater are truly gems for all of the Bay Area. They present the best of Shakespeare under the redwoods and show the community's pride in their local arts. I have worked on many of their shows and have experienced how the actors and crew work with the community to provide excellent free theatre to everyone. This tradition belongs to all Mill Valley and Marin County. We cannot lose this treasure.
