C'mon, why do we have to fight so hard to save the arts and wondrous spaces? This shouldn't be an issue requiring a petition.

So many people love these plays. I especially excited by the number of children who come and enjoy. Where else will they get this education.

How can anyone complain about such a worthwhile event for all ages.

I've never missed a Curtain Theatre performance in Old Mill Park. I look forward to those performances for months in advance. They are a wonderful asset to the Mill Valley arts community, and a feather in Mill Valley's cap. The limitations that some residents near the park are trying to impose on these performances are ridiculous, and obviously designed to make it impossible for the Curtain Theatre to exist at all, since their only funding comes from audience donations. Please treat the Curtain Theatre for what it is--hardworking, talented actors presenting Shakespeare, for free, to the community. They are an asset, not a problem!

Please don't curtail this delightful summer activity! Their combination of acting, dancing, music, and colorful costumes is an inspiration and treasure for all of us. They should be rewarded for their dedication to doing these performances to benefit low-income folks.

Curtain Theatre is a community asset which introduces children of all ages to a world of wonder. Characters of historical fantasy come alive for each performance, giving us laughter and perspective. What a great chance to broaden our view of the world and come together as neighbors.

This park has been traditionally a place for performing art. It is part of Berkeley community.

Residents have become so uptight- yet they are happy to make so much noise with all their construction and such. Support the arts and keep the theatre alive!

Of all the events that might occur in a park (noisy birthdays, weddings, sports club end of season celebrations, movie nights, jumpies and food trucks, art festivals etc) surely free perfomances of unamplified Shakespeare plays put on for the benfit of the entire community, enabling people of all ages and income levels to appreciate the greatest plays in history together, are the least threatening and troublesome. In fact they are the most worthy events to support and preserve. They actually make Mill Valley a desirable place to live because these incredible cultural activities enrich and benefit everyone. Please, of all the things to curtail in this park free Shakespeare beloved by so many for 19 years is not the one.

What a sad loss to the community if it should lose Curtain Theatre. Maybe have a special performance just for the neighbors...
