Save the Curtain Theatre

I LIVE in Mill Valleyand have been to a number of the Curtain Theatre performances

It’s live theatre for God’s sake. The show must go on!

The theater activities should have been disclosed when the newbies bought their house. Don’t Let their sense of entitlement destroy this tradition.

Have enjoyed these free Shakespeare plays for years. They have been part if Mill Valley's rich cultural life. Audiences are well behaved and there is no loud music. And, by the way, it is not "their" amphitheatre - it is "ours."

Let's keep the arts alive. This theater is part of the heart and soul of Mill Valley. Creativity!

We must not loose this treasured tradition!

I am a regular member of the Curtain summer audiences and a supporter of community use of public spaces. I believe that theater is not just appropriate but an essential use of public spaces.

I saw another group perform there. It was enchanting. Too bad there are NIMBYs who want to limit public access to art.

Probably the same people who buy houses at lower price near the airport, then complain about the noise!

It's shameful that people new to a neighborhood would try to destroy the history of that neighborhood, of which the Curtain is a valuable, integral part. If they don't like the noise, they can find somewhere else to live. Not just the Curtain performances, but the amphitheater itself is there because the community chose to make a space for it there, and an amphitheater without performances is nothing. Residents must respect the neighborhood into which they move, not demand changes to it simply out of their own selfishness. Old Mill Park, its amphitheater and stage, are there by choice of the city and its populace and are there to serve the city and its populace. All of them.

I am a volunteer usher at several smaller theaters in Boston and have seen firsthand the benefits of live theater to its audience.

We need to support the arts!

As a theater reviewer I have enjoyed many plays at the Theater Curtain. They make vital contribution to the cultural life of Marin and their audiences do not cause any local disturbance as they are a quiet peaceful group. As a reader and library supporter since they use the space that is adjacent to the Library it allows for locals to both see a play and visit the library at the same time t would be a great loss to see them go. Save the arts, not condemn them. Since when does the voice of a few overcome the voice of the many?

To support the creative endeavors of Cucumber Jingle and others that seek to enrich the world, free of charge, in a time when an entitled portion of the world believes they own it all and can do as they please! Keep it FREE!! Keep it for the COMMUNITY!
