Let's preserve the history of our town! The town should continue to support and maintain the historical buildings of our community. I believe it is the towns ethical responsibility. I think the current use, home to Suzuki School of Music, and the Art Gallery is a beautiful use of this historical building! Preserve our historic train station!

The Suzuki School, on the south side of the building from the Art Gallery, is where I work. The fact that the School actually had a building is one of the main reasons I moved here. Having taught music lessons for many years out of a church basement, I am not keen to go back to that. The space that the school now operates from is very conducive to learning and makes the students feel they are part of something important and significant to the community.

Huntsville needs green ways to draw tourists and to interest people in living in our community. The Culture Station/Signal Gallery fits into this plan.

We cannot turn our backs on these kinds of things. We must take a lesson from Europe; their heritage is revered, not destroyed. brad.

It's not ALL about business in Huntsville! Save our artistic and musical societies. And how much did we spend on the G8 buildings and improvements that now sit practically empty? Come on ..... seriously???????

Ten years ago, 40 families spent an entire summer renovating the south side of the Train Station. They lovingly created an amazing and vibrant musical hub - complete with studio, rehearsal and concert space. Countless Huntsville business donated time, manpower and supplies to make it happen. As a result, Huntsville area students had a 'center' to cultivate their artistry and musicality which extended far and wide as they represented Huntsville across Ontario, Quebec, B.C. and several states. Huntsville should be extremely proud of the dedication of those families and proud of the way that building was transformed and put to use! To abolish that opportunity for our residents would, indeed, be a travesty.

arts and culture are extremely important to Huntsville's economy. Lets not be short-sighted and backward just when we have begun to move forward.

A Town without art is a very sad place indeed.

After having been on the Huntsville Train Station Society Board since its inception in 2001, I have realized how vital it is to save our beautiful heritage sites. What a wonderful combination heritage and the arts is. Without a doubt the culture station needs to remain as an active important part of our cultural community in Huntsville!!

This station is the very centre of our history. It enabled our active and successful tourist industry. A fitting use is the continued appeal to tourism through culture in our area. The Station is Huntsville's gem. Please, let's honour it by keeping it!

The Culture Station is an invaluable culture and transportation gathering place, à vital hub of our Town. Combined, these concepts are part of all serious, long-term visioning for the historicized cultural tourism so necessary for the success of our municipality and area. Definitely ours to keep and cherish.

If the council wants to save money they can stop hiring consultants and start listening to the people who put them in office.

I still believe this station is an important asset to the Town of Huntsville and should be retained for use by the public.

Besides being such an enormous part of our Heritage, this beautiful building in finally being used is such improtant ways. It is gorgeous and should stay, along with Signal North

Every Strategic Plan and Cultural Initiative paid for by the Town of Huntsville has included a public art gallery or purpose-built art space. All were approved, yet none were ever realized. It's time for the Town to admit that Art and Culture bring money into the area. The people who voted for you have waited years to see your promise fulfilled - we've worked hard for this and we deserve a public art space.
