This is a ridiculous request and should be reviewed for each individual situation. Reminds me of Joni Mitchell's song "They paved paradise and put up a parking lot". Let's not ruin the gardens when there are already 7 spots now!. I'm sure people can find parking close by if the lot is full.

Absolutely ridiculous by-law for a TOWN (emphasis added, Councillors!) which needs to be amended or abollished considering the heritage of Jordan.

The Jordan area is a significant part of the history of the Niagara Region. Many of its residents have worked for years to preserve that heritage for generations to come. It should not be spoiled by the creation of paved parking lots. A small tearoom where people can meet to talk about what the history of the area has meant to them is very important to the community. Hopefully the municipality will be able to accommodate the needs and history of this beautiful area.

As a long time supporter of the Jordan Museum and the village of Jordan I feel that this by law is extremely harmful for the Village of Jordan in its role as a tourist stop. The town doesn ot need more parking lots, the gardens are a part of the attraction of the village , preserving its character that is such an attraction for visitors.

What kind of stupid by-law is that? What difference does it make whether you serve food or not? We are not talking abour\t a large pub or restaurant. Here is an honest citizen trying to make an honest living while giving the general public a lovely place to enjoy a wonderful cup of tea and delicate sandwiches, not too mention the wonderful scones, and she is being forced to close this quaint tearoom. Anyone who has visited the Crown and Crumpet can attest that this place should not be closed just because of some silly by-law.

As a women building a new small business in the Niagara Region it disgusts me that the Town has nothing better to do than pick the bones of a small family trying to sustain a business which clearly enhances the charm of the Jordan tourist experience.
