Closure of the Tearoom would be a disservice to the town of Jordan

I see no reason why this business should be required any different parking regulations than other stores on the street. This is not a restaurant where people go to spend hours at a meal of many differen courses and drinks. The time spent here is no different than in some of the boutiques in Jordan.

We love the tearoom...and park on the street, just as we do when we visit the knitting and antique stores and other shops. I go to Jordan because there is the possibility of shopping a nice up of tea!

I hope someone sees that forcing this issue won't help the community, it will take business away. This is a lovely tea shop that doesn't impact anyone's parking ability. Please let them stay!!!

Time for some common sense to rule here. I've never had any problem finding parking in Jordan, and it's the small shops and businesses that attract people, so variety is paramount! Forcing the issue here seems self-defeating, as it would decrease trade in the area.

There is plenty of parking around. It was be very sad to close such a beautiful place.

Jordan Village has a large public parking lot for the retailers and restaurants in Jordan, plus another large parking area at the Fire Hall, and yet another large parking area just across from the Jordan Inn. Street parking is abundant, and the Jordan Museum also has parking available. Parking is not a problem, and parking isn't "the" problem at all where Lorraine and the Crown and Crumpet Tea room are concerned. This is a small business that's run in an historic home here in the village. Lorraine and her family have settled here and she has 2 children in school, here. She and her family patronize local businesses, her clientele support the stores in Jordan (and return often), and to see this business shut down would be a major loss to the Village. A By-law only makes sense if it makes sense--this one just seems punitive, extreme, and detrimental to our entire community.

There is plenty of public parking and other, larger business' that don't provide their own specifc parking spaces. Lincoln council, you need to get real and stop with nonsense like this. We need to support, not oppress small business in these times. SHAME on you!!

This seems to be a ridiculous requirement. Jordan is a very small town and I have been at this lovely tearoom on very busy occassions, in the middle of a terrible winter, with 2 elderly women who had NO PROBLEM accessing parking and the facility itself. There is no need for the additional parking requirement.

I hope they reconsider their stand on this.

It's a shame that a small business needs this when there is ample parking already in Jordan Village. I love the community and it's the small businesses that keep the spirit of this special place.

SO bummed to read about what is happening! I love your tea room! I have visited it a handful of times and its the only reason I drive out to Jorden now. I hope this situation can be fixed and SOON. :(
