Find an industrial site! It is counter productive to destroy our forests and wildlife to deal with garbage!

Our forests are under assault already! I would not have thought that the elected and non-elected officials of Simcoe County would join in that assault! There MUST be better locations with an already existing industrial/commercial designation!

I think garbage should be trucked to less urban area and keep our forests clean.

those SC forest tracts have shared use agreements to allow residents to use the forest for health and recreational purposes. it makes sense to prioritize the non-forest areas for the OPF facility.

How much of our preciuos forest are we going to destroy in the name of progress? What is progress? There are plenty of existing industrial lands that could accomodate this.

There is absolutely no cause for this plant to be built anywhere near Simcoe County forest tracts.

While I understand that Simcoe needs this type of operation I don't think that a forest tract is an ideal location. I know first hand that the designers do their best to stop fluids from leaching into the soil it still happens and the loose garbage that does end up blowing around causes the area to be quite littered. An area with clay soil is much more appropriate than somewhere with sand soil.

Don't build this site on a forest- it belongs in an industrial area.

There must be sites far more suited to this than forest. Keep looking for a better site and keep our forests.
