This tract of forest is home to many different species of animals. I run and ride the property most days. In this tract I have personally seen Black Bear, Deer, Beaver, Fischers, Fox, Coyotes or was told by a biologist tracking them, Wolves. Also I have seen several different species of snakes, not sure what kind but at least 3 different types. Bright orange and red salamanders and a dark black Newt species. Usual asssortment of racoons, squirels, grouse, and turkeys. In the spring the sound of the frogs is amazing. Clearly this tract acts as a corridor for the many different species of animals which either make this area their home or pass through it to get where they are going. The area is dotted with several different springs and small streams. Truly a vanishing resource.

We worked so hard to plant trees on this tract, spending hard earned volunteers money and our time,

Really???? Do we have to go through all this again? When will you people learn to leave our forest, water, animal and plants alone. Can you not use an area that you have already ruined ?

This would devastate our animals natural habitat. Industry belongs in industrial zones. We have damaged enough of our forests.

My husband was raised in Craighurst and we were married there... leave the small town small!!!! They don't need the noise or traffic... move it to a more neutral area!
