If they take this what then what's next? When does it end. It's time to stop being pushed around and stand up for the things we believe in. It starts here. Right now.

Heritage and history....not hate. Ancestor of a Confederate veteran and a slave.

I have been having this same fight for a few days now. And the flag should not be taken down. It is heritage not hate. I am very proud to be from the south.. I was raised that this flag is what our an sisters fought for and protected. And what they died for. It should not be taken down because I want my children to grow up just like I did. To love all people regardless of the color of there skin. And want them to know that it is history that made us who we are. Why take something down just because people really don't know the meaning of it. Or just because they may have been miss informed... why try to delete history why not just add to it. It should not be judged for the past but be uplifted for the future.

Perhaps replacing the battle flag with the original Confederate flag would be a great compromise. Note that the city of Pensacola made this change several years ago.
