The Confederate flag is not a flag of racism. Flags don't have racism. People have racism. People of all colors shapes sizes and nationalities. The Confederate flag is the flag of our ancestors of the true southern people born and raised for decades in the south. People not if the south do not realize just how deeply us southerners feel about our ancestors flag. If Gays and Lesions can fly their rainbow flags then so be it. I'm happy for them. If blacks can wear their Martin Luther King Jr. Shirts so be it I'm happy for them. All this makes me wonder truly if the ones wanting our southern heratige removed so badly might not be the ones with the darkest hearts and possibly the most prejudice!!!! Leave our Confederate Southern Heratige alone! Let it fly. Fly in the wind to show our southern pride. It has nothing to do with prejudice, racism or hatred. It's a piece of cloth. What's next no more wearing anything made from cotton?.

This flag is part of the memorial and it should stay as such. It's been a part of this counties history for almost 150 years. It should continue to fly exactly as it is, part of a historical monument and nothing more.

Leave the flag. People have ruined the meaning of the flag by portraying it as a sign of racism. The confederate flag was once the flag of a independent nation and now it is a sign of racism. People have changed the meaning so much. No reason to get rid of the flag because some people want to "change" the meaning of it. It is a part of our nations history
