The confederate flag represents the 13 southern states. That is why there is 13 stars in it. It represents history, heritage, ancestory. It's not racist. When the south joined the union this 13 stars went on what serves as our flag today. I believe if they was not in there there would only be 37 and not 50. Why the big deal. Some of my ancestors happen to be General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson and Andrew Jackson.
