My 3X Great Grandfather was a Walton County Pioneer. He lost one son, one son-in-law, and 6 grandsons in the war, and had several other grandsons who served. Please keep the Confederate flag flying to honor those brave Walton County sons who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Why is that no one will STAND for whats right any more..We just let this Government do as they please make up any law that they want to to please there needs..This flag doesn't stand for slavery It's just an excuse for certain people to stir up trouble

People are not concerned about the confederate war. That was so long ago, nobody really knows what the war was about. Yeah, it may be in history books & stories may be told. Only way we will ever know what the war was actually about, is if we had a time machine. You & I both know, that stories change through the years & our history books have proven that. Here is an example of history that suppose to be true. If the history that we know is so true, why dont they teach that George Washington was not the first president of the United States.
I also wanted to let you know, people are concerned about this day in age & what is going on right now with the flag. To many racial groups are using the flag for hate & that is messing up that damn flag. Racial groups have the confederate flag on the wall with a nazi flag.
I dont care if you have it on your own property, but since the flag is not a STATE or NATIONAL flag, it dont have no right to be on a courthouse pole.

The Confederate flag is a part of history, Southern history. I am not prejudice and a lot of my family fought in the war under that flag. I am proud of that, they fought for what they believed in.....everyone thinks it all about slavery. Research history regarding slavery and the war!
