I believe that the flag should stay if we are all equal then we should have the right to fly both flags if we want

The Confederate flag is a relic of history, a symbol of the South's vigilance and willingness to fight for their homeland. Nowhere in the creation of the Confederate flag was the ideal of racism or slavery. It's those who have misunderstood or twisted history to assume the flag automatically insists hatred and unequality. It's a flag that a force needed to fight under, not to raise in defense of owning slaves. We must stop with this silly "feelings matter more than rights" game that people play in this generation and realize that in America we do have the right to fly the flag, whether it be the American flag, the confederate flag, hell even the Union Jack or a pirate flag if you want. Not to mention, if this flag offends people, there are plenty of other flags that would also offend people that aren't under any scrutiny. Tolerance only goes one way, eh?

The U.S. flag has done more to promote slavery than the Confederate ever did! True reason for the war was that tax $ from southern states kept the U>S> going.

Please forward to as many as possible, this petition was hard to find. No problems finding ones to remove flag. An attorney and his wife, from Tallahasee trying to remove it. Look them up. This is just a start with liberals taking everything, fight back!! We cant let them rule US or we wont have anymore rights or freedoms.

I was born in DeFuniak Springs. There has always be a Confederate flag flying for as long as I can remember. I no longer live in DeFuniak and haven't for many years. My father and his brothers and sisters were raised there and many of their children and grandchildren still live there. The flag needs to stay. Yes, I still live in Florida just a few miles south (460).

This is our town! Nobody except handful of troublemakers want it down, most from other states!! No one here is offended by it. If it gets taken down i will fight to remove rainbow flags everywhere.

Why should non natives want to take down our flag? An attorney here from Tallahasse is trying to remove it, it has never bothered anyone in this small town. The liberals are dismantling this nation. Stop them!! Heritage, not hate!
