Heritage not hate! I grew up in the south I've been here my whole life in not racist an my parents didn't raise me to be either I was raised to treat everyone equal even a good friend of mine calls himself the black cowboy an he is just as southern as an of the white boys I know an he loves his confederate battle flag just as much as maybe even more then some of the white people I know. Someone needs to put a stop to all this bull going on trying to get rid of all our history!

Born and raised here in Walton County. I am proud of my heritage and the flag that flies to represent that! I am by no means racist or does that flag stand for that! It's an easy history lesson to figure out the civil war was NOT fought over slaves. That's ignorant.

Will taking this flag down cure racism. Absolutely not. Has anybody lost jobs or commerce here is town because of the flying flag. No. But take it down, our town will forever be divided!!

The Condederate flag is a piece of our southern history. To take down the flag, is a disgrace, not to keep it up. If someone is offended by the Confederate flag, they do not understand the history of it.
