My best friend goes skating here and it's her life so if her coach got cut off then she'd be the saddest ever and I'd hate to see her upset x

This scenario has been played out at other rinks over the country to the detriment of high quality ice skating. If this continues where are the nation's future champions and Olympic entries going to come from? Stop reducing already meagre resources and invest in the future of Hull Skating Rin.k

Think they need to be cutting people from the very top of council, not the hard workers and valuable people at the Arena

A lot the children have benefited from these coaches save the ice coaches

It's sad to remove anything to do with sporting activities, most children love not being in front of a games computer if encouraged.

My daughter has skated at Hull ice arena since age 7. Now 15 and her coach no longer has a job. If her coach is not there any longer all those years of training will have gone to waste. Shame on you Hull City Council. This city does not deserve to be city of culture in 2017!

How does this "City of Culture" expect young people to learn the skills that these individuals teach?
Basically they now won't be able to compete in any compatitions with a chance of winning and representing this city, it's a disgrace!!

Please reconsider. These coaches have close bonds with their skaters that can't just be handed over to new coaches.
Coaches like this are irreplaceable
