Save the coaches at hull ice arena

We need coaches for the future talent of this city

Think they are trying to end the rink! If no one can skate, it won't be used so it can be closed

3 of my children have now lost their skating coach. The council have taken away the only ice hockey skating coach from this area, leaving my children without a fantastic coach Adrian. Let's hope this can be changed!! We need him back x

Please keep these much needed coaches to keep us all active and learning a new skill

I feel very sorry for the children that will loose their teachers, and for the great coaches like Adrian and a few others it a huge loss to the skating world, but let's be honest how some coaches still have a job there after there behaviour over the years is beyond me.

Hope it works. How we suppose to get up and coming competitors if no coaches!

My daughter learned to ice skate at Hull ice arena and spent 13yrs skating, all the coaches are just fantastic and work hard. Don't throw away something good save our coaches!!!!!!

I hope you can keep your ice skating rink and your coaches.

I am disgusted how the the council have treated the Hull ice arena coaches and believe what they have done is wrong.

Another way for the council to save money disgusting maybe they should stop big bonuses instead the kids there effecting are our future

By reducing the number of coaches the council are throwing away a regular income (not to mention all that knowledge & skill)..........next thing everyones ice fees will be going up to cover the shortfall...........INSANITY!!!!!!

Removing 6 of the 9 coaches from 1 to 1 lessons shows that the people who run the rink have no idea what peoplewant to pay from. The the management at Hull Council and Leisure have admitted that they didnt speak to the skaters at the Hull rink before forcing coaches who pay THEM money to stop. We pay the rink money to allow coaches who pay the rink money to teach us. How is this bad? And how can a person in a management position justify this a good idea? This evening there were 7 coaches teaching 1-1 lessons on patch at once. Good to know in the future Hull City and leisure dont want 4/7ths of that money any more.

It's awful the way these coaches have been treated but it's the same every few years. Adrian and some of the other coaches have worked at that rink for years and to have their jobs cruely ripped from them is awful for both coach and pupils

Local councils on the one hand tell everyone they need to do more exercise and spend more time being active with families and on the other hand ensure they remove the means to do so.
