Save the coaches at hull ice arena

These people are a vital part of my daughters development not just on the ice but off aswell.

Please bring back the figure skating teachers. I started lessons when I started my second year at university, it was brillent to have something to do other than uni work and my part time work. I also have a brother who is Autistic, before his lessons he had very bad balance and coordination skills, a very poor attention span and spent all his free time in his room playing on an ipad however since he started his lessons his balancing has improved greatly, he still has a poor attention span but it has improved due to the one to one attention and he is enjoying his skating so much that he cried and begged for this not to be true. Without having the one to one teaching he will find it extremely difficult to enjoy his lessons and will not progress much further. Thank you for taking the time to read. Kimberley Park

This is absolutely ridiculous! I have been skating since the age of 7 and I love it. What is the point of taking away all these coaches, for no apparent reason. All of us at the ice rink have a strong passion for skating and we'd be devastated if our coaches were to go. Many of our ice skating dreams will be crushed. Also, there is no ice rink within reasonable distance that we could actually travel to. I really hope you reconsider your decisions.

My daughter already has to travel to Bradford every Saturday so she can be with her instructor who used to be at hull, totally outrageous!

We need our coaches back! Children's dreams are been broken!!!! Save the catches!!

Local Authorities have an obligation to support sports and activities, health and fitness. So how comes they make such an awful decision that impacts on so many lives.

Support these coaches! They do an excellent job and have devoted their lives and careers to skating

Coaches are needed for children to progress

My little cousin takes lessons here and I know she absolutely loves it! Despite the fact that her parents have also spent a lot of money on her gear and lessons, this is part of a community that I will be moving to and would like to take my son to!

This is stupid what ice arena has no coaches to teach people to skates

How is this decision keeping the Olympic legacy of 2012 alive? Fewer coaches must mean fewer opportunities for young skaters and that's just wrong

Save the coaches

It is so very disappointing to see the ice rink ran the way it is by the council. From simple untidiness and out of date notices to poor maintenance of the ice itself. If Hull is to be the city of culture then a facility like this should be something to be proud of. Taking away coaches is another notch at the rink becoming redundant.

Very sad and disappointing for the talented skaters in hull who will have to give up on there dreams due to lack of coaches.

Save the coaches it has such a knock on effect to all

Cut council workers from the offices, there are far too many instead of the much needed, skilled, coaches.
