Save coaches, you should be encouraging children to do sport not taking it away. How can you do this, my daughter is in tears all that money wasted over the years, only one Ice Rink in Hull so where do we go to do this talented sport

Pip was my instructor for a good while when I was based in Hull and it would be a dammed shame to see them go, they are the heart and soul of that ring and without them it will die

This is not the way forward. How can Hull be a city of culture when you want to take away this wonderful service. My three grandchildren use this arena and will be devastated if it closes

I grew up with many of the coaches that are now coaching here and was also coached By a few others and if it wasn't for them I would not of accomplished what I did and I would not be where I am today.. There will always be drama no matter what sport you are in but this is ridiculous.. By taking away coaches you are taking away the opportunity for kids to learn and grow. And As much as I hate to say it after dealing with my fair share of drama in the rink all of the coaches are needed.. Back when I competed Hull Arena had some amazing skaters and we need to bring that back.. Keep the coaches and let the kids love the sport that they have chosen..

I skated at the rink for a number of years and it upsets me to see it go so down hill, getting rid of coaches will only make things worse! Ice skating is everything for these girls and boys, they're not just losing teachers they're losing friends too.

My daughter skates and there's no enough rinks from Hull up over to start with, so please save the coaches and don't let the rink go into a disused state.

Please don't do this to our fabulous coaches. These people have given their life to providing a skill and different life choice to young people, who would quite often otherwise fall into the trap of young 'street' behaviour. They learn discipline, team work and find a family outside their own. They are unique and wonderful and our next generation of great British athletes. All thanks to the years or training, hard work, love and dedication from their coaches. Please. Have a heart.
