Save the coaches at hull ice arena

We need these coaches for our children's future!!!!

Please don't cut the amount of coaches, many people benefit greatly from ice skating.

How short sighted of the council to lay off coaches. Instead of laying of coaches the council should be encouraging schools in the area to make this one of their activities to encourage young people to get into sport.

Disgraceful. These skaters need their coaches. I'm wondering if maybe its a move towards the coaches being self employed as opposed to being employed by the rink. Don't know enough about the set up there to really comment on that but if theres enough skaters taking lessons surely their coaches should be kept on.

Once again Hull City council have had a look in their little black book of lets p*** the natives off, what next? Your playing with peoples futures here.

i'm appalled, Hull City Council TRY save jobs instead of losing them they work dam hard at what they do why not give it a try you never know you might like it

Coaches are the lifeblood of all sports, HCC are bonkers!

We should be making all sport more accessible

Please save these coaches. They are amazing and we ice skaters need them

Poor innocent children and other ice skaters are not only loosing a coach but they could also loose their own ability to skate due to the loss off coaches!!

Bring bk all the good coaches bk not just bring in new ones it's not rite it's not fair

HCAL need to hang their heads in shame at reviewing the provision of skating coaches at the Arena. Have they forgot that Hull will be City of Culture and the last thing that HCAL want is adverse publicity at their awful decision. HCAL - do the right thing and keep all the coaches who provide excellent coaching

Come on hull council get your act together and support your GB skaters and all other skaters aspiring to reach that level

I am appalled at this huge reduction in ice skating coaches. How 3 coaches are supposed to be able to take on all the students of the other 4 coaches I have no idea. My daughter is devastated that her coach has being laid off, she has come on so much since starting lessons. I thought HCC we're supposed to promote healthy living and sport but obviously I was mistaken.

My family attend the ice rink numerous times during each week.Seeing on a regular basis how professional and engaging all the coaches are with people of all ages it is a disgrace that this should happen.Vicky Wilson is a tremendous inspiration when she is coaching members of my family.As a city we are criticised for obesity and poor health so surely our council would try to get more people into sports ,not stopping them

My 9 year old granddaughter is heartbroken to learn her coach (Vicky Wilson) who she has been with since the age of 3 is one of those to be cut. It certainly looks as though the City of Culture is running the Ice Arena down with a view to closing it.

We have Vicky Wilson as o My daughter coach she goes out of her way to accommodate them both why take away such a good popular service
