We only have a few rinks in thus country as it is . I've had to send my daughter to USA to train . We need rinks and coaches here for the grass roots of ice skating.

It just makes no sense what so ever. Its akin to cutting teachers from a school... thus increasing class sizes and making the education less effective. Reducing the number of coaches can only have detrimental effects on the arenas revenue due to loss of business etc. But it means that kids and parents alike are going to miss out on doing something they look forward to each and every day. Also these coaches stand to lose their jobs which obviously effects them personally..... it just makes no sense to either the arena, the coaches nor the paying customer. Get a grip people

This situation is just wrong. Adrian taught my wife for over 5 years and he's a great coach, the arena need more coaches like him not less.

I used to skate when I was younger, kids deserve to have teachers to allow them to do something they love. It is not right to deprive them of that.

These services are vital to give young people something positive to do with their spare time. Coaches are needed to encourage and help people to grow in whatever discipline they have chosen.

A real tradegy for Hull, city of culture !! More council cut backs that affect hulls population who love to skate. And shame on them for ending professional careers and livelihoods. As a mature skater, I am devastated for the coaches and disappointed to say the least with the council.
Save theses jobs, and save my hobby.
