i think it's a shame that you are considering cancelling this program it is very expensive and hard to get these programs down south. Please reconsider this as it would make it very difficult northern residents to go so far to school.

Shortsighted at the best. Needed in the community for the dental health of many seniors and lower income clients. High impact on students who require training in the north, hopefully the majority remain the the area for the good of all.

we need dental assistants and hygienists in the north and the best chance of doing so is to train them here!

There are wait lists to get into the dental programs at CNC. I find the dental programs as a convenience to the population in northern BC. Why should this kind of education only be offered in southern BC if there is a high demand of it everywhere. There would be no wait lists if there was not a demand for dental professionals. Also the quality of education that comes from the CNC dental programs is above and beyond!

This is an important program and should not be suspended. Surely there are other cost-cutting measure such as the ridiculous surveys conducted for graduate feedback. How costly are those?

This program is important to Northern BC the extra cost to students to travel to Kelowna or Vancouver is too much for the average student and many students would be lost from the progam and it would be devastating to their futures.

In the north, we go without many amenities as it is. There is a better chance of people remaining in the community where they attended school. The job vacancy rate proves this program is worthwhile, and we need skilled workers in the north.

Graduate of 1983 Dental Assisting Program at CNC and still in the field! This was the cornerstone of my career and allowed me independance and fulfillment in a profession that helps others. It would truly be a shame to lose these valuable and sustainable programs.

This is a very important program that allows for affordable education closer to home for those students choosing this career option. Closer to home education most often means working closer to home too. Educate here to keep here!

as a student of CNC I know many students who are, like myself, distressed by the programs being cut. I have family members that are enrolled in the dental hygienist programming, and I'm sure they are distressed as well. not only is the CNC dental programming being threatened, but there are some 25 instructors whose jobs may not be there for them next year. today while preparing for an exam I asked my instructor what he might be teaching next semester, and his answer was three words: "I don't know." and why? why doesn't he know? because he's on this list of instructors whose way of life is being threatened. if the school would start arranging their spending in a better way instead of doing things like removing beautiful indoor ponds and renovating areas in the school that don't need renovating, then perhaps this wouldn't be a problem!
