Once the tower is gone is is lost for the community. I don't expect anything from the new school will last the new school will last 140 years!

We the people stand strong together leave our clock tower alone its ours and should remain ours not right to bring it down thousands of us have passed through the school and the tower holds all our memories every TIME we look at it. It stands tall above Lockwood so everyone can see it and it should stay that way !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have happy memories - e.g. youth worker 1967 - 1975 and School Secretary 1970/1980.
My late husband lived at 41 Victoria Rd., and the family of Mr. Mrs. Nellie Cawtheray are a well known family who have lived in Lockwood all their lives. I feel it is important to try and keep some history of Mount Pl. visible in some way - PLEASE do not demolish all the old features of Lockwood.
