As an educator, and former Cherokee Charmer, this program should not be closed down.

Seriously, drill team was the most exciting thing about high school. It's not just a team, you gain a new family. It's not fair to the next generations for them to have to miss out on so many memories and experiences. In a sense, being a part of this team helped me find myself. I can't speak for anyone else, but I owe so much to the team. Here it is 5 years after graduation and I can still remember some of the dances. The feel of the cool air on my face on the field during the pledge. It's not right for them to take that away from these girls. CCDT needs to stay put. Co-Captain 09-10❤️

This truly breaks my heart. CCDT and out Director Mrs. Lee have made a lasting impression on my life. We gathered to dance and perform, but Charmers has prepared us for so much more. I have learned many great life lessons and developed deep friendships in those four years as a member, and three years as an officer. Charmers not only gave me a deepened love for dance, but taught me responsibility, integrity, leadership, strength, trust, overcoming adversity, and so many more character qualities. A band of misfits joined in the 2006-2007 school year as the first year of open sign ups and no try outs. We were not excellent, but we practiced hard and enjoyed every minute of it. As the years progressed, we only got better, gaining the support of the school, traveling to perform in collegiate football bowl games, a parade, winning awards at competitions, and producing a Spring Show every year. Sanger ISD will not be complete without the Cherokee Charmer Drill Team, and cannot be simply categorized as an extra curricular activity. I pray that we can save this wonderful tradition, and culture that has transformed my life. Charmers pretty much saved my life. I have no idea where I would be if I had not had a great family in that team. It was hard but worth it. It was so much fun being on that field or in the gym at a competition. Save the Charmers and let other young girls share so many memories that will last a lifetime! Sr. Lt. 09-10❤

Please sign to keep the Charmers. It's a tradition at Sanger High School. I was a Charmer and so is my daughter. She is going into her Senior Year and loves being a Charmer. Please sign and help keep this tradition alive.

It has been a true joy to watch these ladies for the last four years! My daughter is captain now, and we hate to see this exceptional group of girls not have the opportunity to grow and soar, as well! Save the Charmers!!
