Save the Ceramic Technology Program
The Ceramic Technology Program of Oakland Community College is Threatened with Closure!!
This program that has meant so much to the community appears to be in extreme jeopardy and the situation has repercussions not only for ceramics and other humanities classes, but also reaches into the community that the college claims to serve.
Our great fear is that ceramic students, numbering more than 500 every semester, will soon find a padlock on the doors leading to the Ceramics Studios of OCC We hope to have an opportunity to preserve this program whichhas been a gem in the community. Our plan is to educate the Board and the Chancellor as to the merits, financial stability and social diversity of the program as well as quell the misconceiptions regarding the outstanding program. We need your help!!
The Potters Community Action Committee is asking you to sign this petition and add your personal comments. This petition will be delivered to all members of the OCC Board of Trustees before the June 18th meeting at 7:00. Please attend the meeting at:
