Sarasota can continue to parade the beauty of its natural environment to tourists but in reality have no regard for it, or, it can choose to be a leader in preserving the natural environment, natural and healing beauty with which Sarasota has been greatly blessed. Show the rest of the country how to do it, walk the walk. Not just talk about and exploit our lands. Even from a self-interested economic view, these places draw tourists from all over the world. Why endanger or destroy them? Thank you.

I DO NOT WANT A 16 ACRE INDUSTRIAL RECYCLING PLANT NEXT TO THE BIRD SANCTUARY AT THE CELERY FIELDS

it is a sanctuary, it should remain a sanctuary. The building in this city and county is ridiculous....

Do not allow the recycling plant to be built. Being a new home owner in this area, the overall quality of life in regards to traffic, noise, environment and value of property would be drastically harmed. Not something I would expect from our government officials.

We need to preserve and conserve!

This is a prime nature conserve. Sarasota does not need to lower itself by allowing an industrial recycling plant to ruin everything that is good and beautiful.

There are health hazards that abatement procedures don't fully address. There are businesses that would suffer--open air dining, food market, elementary school, soccer fields. There are other sites in the county which would be more suitable for this type of business and less intrusive for those of us already living and working in the area.

There are many other acceptable sites in this county that would be fine for the recycle plant. This is not one!

This jewel is a unique natural and economic treasure. Recycling is a wonderful thing but not if it harms another wonderful thing. Locate the plant somewhere else.

PLEASE leave the celery fields alone!!! If you turn it into a dump, we will be paying for its removal in 15 years. stop it. There is NO REASON to put a dump here.
