The celery fields and bird sanctuary are at risk. This recycling center does not add anything to the area...and will have a negative impact to the roads,home values, and quality of life.

Stop the madness, keep our community beautiful, we already have had landfills which are abutting our properties. The celery fields should be our park which we enjoy, not to mention a bird sanctuary. You greedy people are all about money ,ruining our beautiful Sarasota .

I live in Laurel Oak and we do not need a trash facility so close to wetlands and in an area people get enjoyment from, please vote against this proposal.

As one who served for 7 years on the Town of Kent (NY) Planning Board, I find it hard to conceive of a more inappropriate use for this county parcel. Any county commissioner who supports this industrial use next to the Celery Fields should be booted out immediately, and inducted into the Hall of Shame.

I oppose the facility strongly. While we need such operations they should be located in appropriate places.Here it is clearly a conflicting use of land and a violation of what proper zoning is supposed to accomplish. There is no overwhelming logic or need as to why this facility should be approved in this locale where it will damage Celery Fields.
