Please do not put a recycling plant in this location everyone has loved going to this area since we were kids and now take our kids. Recycling plants are noisy dirty and smell terrible there has to be somewhere else to put it.

I oppose the sale of county land to Restaurant Depot, and oppose a zoning exception that would allow the expansion of the industrial waste recycling facility near the Celery Fields.

Apparently, we voters/taxpayers MUST broadcast loud & clear to Sarasota's County Commissioners our unequivocal rejection of more unbridled, potentially dangerous development at/near the Celery Fields.

Frankly when I first saw the petition I had to do some research because I couldn't fathom that Sarasota County would even consider doing anything like this. And then I found it was true. Mind boggling considering all of the effort that has gone into the preservation and promotion of this area and its natural resources.

We need to save some of our land for recreation and nature. The growth in our area has been left unchecked. We have no wish to be Naples or Tampa. Enough.

Let alone all the smells and noise, the traffic is horrendous in that area. Go build that somewhere else!

This was put in place to stop flooding in near by neighborhoods. Now, it has turned out to be a beautiful area for people to really enjoy. Please do not take away. It is a need and a joy.

Growth is a good thing, but not when it takes over our parks that can never be replaced. Growth should be in the form of using sites that have already been used for such purposes. Let "Mother Nature" take a holiday from over-development abuse.
