Save the Celery Fields in Sarasota, FL

We are running out of wildlife space, do something positive and disapprove this recycling plant.

This is not an appropriate location for this facility. Palmer Road is already overburdened and is becoming very dangerous. This before the addition of 100's of new residences under construction. This facility needs to be further east, maybe off Fruitville or S.R. 72. Thank you.

the noise, pollution and traffic this is going to cause is just unacceptable. Not to mention, the 16 acres you are taking away from the animals that are having to constantly move for all this constant growth. It needs to stop and be put in an unused, already developed industrial area.

I believe in recycling as much as anyone but this is not an appropriate location for such a facility.

We do NOT want an Industrial Recycling Plant built at or near Celery Fields!

The industrial recycling facility proposal near the Celery Fields is wholly inconsistent with the adjoining areas and counter to the idea behind the Celery Fields. Pleas reject the proposal.

We don't want a 16-acre, industrial recycling plant built next to the bird sanctuary at the Celery Fields!

Do not allow construction of this waste facility. The bird sanctuary is precious and must be preserved.

Move that recycling facility far away from the Celery Fields and the residential communities on Palmer Road.

I am very troubled by and oppose the recycling plant at Celery Fields.

Please do not destroy the Celery Fields and the surrounding housing developments with an industrial recycling plant. The dust, noise and pollution will be destructive to not only the wildlife, but also to the citizens of that part of the county. Plus, how do we deal with the influx of much more large truck traffic on Palmer BLVD. Think about the school bus traffic along with children who traverse Palmer to get to school. Please think about how you would like this recycling plant within a mile or two of where you live. I don't think you would like how the plant would affect your life or your property values.

There is plenty of property East Of Bee Ridge Extension to be used in this fashion.

Please do not do this to our community. The noise and pollution would adversely affect the wildlife around the Celery Fields and the residents of the Big Cat Habitat. With more residential construction on Palmer Boulevard, this facility would not be in the best interest of current and future residents and taxpayers. There is property further east of Iona Road and Bee Ridge Extension which would not impact wildlife and luxury residential communities.

A recycling center would be in direct opposition to the tranquil oasis of the celery field. Sarasota needs more nature preserves not any more cement!

This industrial facility does not belong in a residential area with schools. The traffic and noise pollution will degrade the quality if life in this area.

Pleas do NOT degrade the beauty and value of the celery fields, a highly utilized hiking and bird watching area extremely valued by city/county residents as well as the many seasonal and ocassional visitors to our area. Please bare in mind that these visitors contribute many "coins to the county coffers". As a resident of Sarasota Countywho truly values all the amenities we enjoy, I wish to make known to you how invaluable the celery fields to this area. Please do not sacrifice this recreational jewel for something as offensive as a construction recycling facility. Thank you for your civic consideration .

Kill the recycling plant proposal. It is a bad deal for everyone except those who will benefit financially from it.
