It is a disgrace to go back on the time and money invested in creating this eco-tourist site, by allowing an industrial plant to be built there. It will threaten the bird sanctuary as well as the water supply. The fact that there was only a single bid for each parcel should be a huge red flag, let alone that the bidders are connected to the board who must approve the zoning change.

This is NOT the right area for industrial project. Move it into the industrial complexes further east.

I have lived across the street from the Celery Fields for 16 years and have seen so many changes. The county has done a great job developing this area. KEEP IT THIS WAY! Don't ruin it with more development just to make a buck.

We have already lost so many of the things that used to make Sarasota lovely -- please don't let the celery fields be ruined, too!

Vote these guys out if they allow this! There is more than enough land in Sarasota county that would not have a negative impact on such a serene place.

When are city and county officials gonna start thinking about the natural habitat that makes Sarasota beautiful. It's bad enough they are ruining downtown. Time to drain the Sarasota Swamp.

Please do not build this recycling plant. While we are in favor of recycling, it should not be done in this unique area for wildlife. It would also be grossly unfair for the surrounding residents who will have to live with the sound, traffic and pollution, not to mention fall in property values, that such a facility will bring.

Any and everyone who agree to this development and destruction of the celery fields and all wildlife within it have just identified themselves as "the typical greedy and money hungry politicians"!

I can not envision a worse location for the type of facility planned for next to the Celery Fields.
Shame on the Planning Commission for having already approved it.

What a crime to even CONSIDER building further in this area.
