Industrial facilities should not blot out this beautiful natural environment. Many species would suffer including the humans who hike there.

I have taken friends who were visiting from the north to the Celery Fields. When I told them about this proposal, they commented that it would be a shame to lose this site . Peaceful, relaxing places are good for the soul. Please relocate this plant so that the Fields will remain a place free to the public to view wildlife and appreciate nature.

I go there every time I return home to srq. Reminds me of the nature and my late mother.

Why is this considered surplus land at the same time the City and County are growing and will need land?

The Celery Fields are a Sarasota treasure just like Siesta Beach. Do developers have to have everything handed to them in a pretty package? They will move on and we will be left with a concrete landfill!

No more building in sarasota! The county commissioners are out of control and making poor decisions regarding our county lands.

Keep Sarasota beautiful. More and more it seems we are losing the things that made this community great in the first place. I understand the desire for industry and commerce, but at what cost?

I am definitely opposed to a recycling plant being built next to our Celery Fields bird sanctuary.
