I've been to recycling centers and they are excessively loud and dusty. Not in keeping with wildlife preservation, eco-tourism, and the pleasant experiences that Sarasota is known for. Oh, and I forgot to mention, smelly.

The Celery Fields is a paradise for birds and birders. Nothing should be done that would be disruptive to the natural behavior of the birds. Economically, the Celery Fields is a natural treasure that draws tourists, and their money, from all areas. Don't "pave paradise and put up a parking lot", or, in this case, a concrete recycling center.

Seriously? Will you not be happy until ALL of Florida is developed? I watched endless wildlife habitats get bulldozed in order to put more bucks in developers' pockets (isn't it nice when they kick some of it back to greedy politicians?) How about listening to your constituents for a change? LEAVE THE CELERY FIELDS IN PEACE! Build the recycling plant in YOUR back yard.

I walk the celery fields and marvel. An industrial recycling facility will destroy the aesthetics of an ecotourism gem and the impact it would have on the birds who have taken up residence or stop on the way could be irreversible.

We visit Florida almost every winter and always visit the Celery Fields when we do. Lovely site. It would be a shame to alter such a great nature environment.

you will be compromising and even destroying one of Sarasota counties treasured jewels for our local wildlife. When does the overbuilding and corruption stop? We need to protect these and make them nature preserves to ensure vital needing spots for our beautiful birds will be here for future generations! The beautiful flora, fauna, and wildlife are the reasons people come to Florida and make it their home. Please no building and DEFINITELY not a recycling plant! Thank you

We have spend millions on this site, which has become a bird sanctuary. Common sense tells us it is absolutely going to impact the wildlife at this location.Recycling is important, as well. However, find a more appropriate location, please.

Please do not put this plant next to celery fields. We need accessible preserves with low noise, traffic, and pollution. This preserve is finally getting notice and people are using these facilities .Please don't destroy it's beauty!
