This land surrounding the Celery Fields needs to be protected! It feeds the birds and though they can't vote - they ARE bringing in eco-tourist dollars to our county!! Stop selling off our land.

Photographers, naturists and birders deserve to have these locations kept for their hobby! This is not a decision to make in haste. It can't be undone when it's taken away from us. Please keep celery fields free from development. Thank you.

Do not want an industrial recycling plant built next to the Celery Fields.

Made a special trip to Sarasota to visit this oasis in a desert of development. If you have any sense whatsoever you will do everything you can to preserve this place and its surroundings.

The birding in the SW is incredible and brings many people to the area. To impinge on this habitat would be backward thinking.

Can the county commission really be ignorant enough to endanger one of the premier birding sites in the state, if not the nation? Surely they understand how many visitors this site attracts and how it demonstrates Sarasota's dedication to preserving the environment and wildlife. If not, I have to question their intelligence and or the likelihood of money changing hands.

Celery is not been there in its current format. Give it a chance to prosper. Give our wildlife a chance to survive.

I am a photographer. I also love the environment we live it. How much destruction does Sarasota County want to do. We have lost so much already.

STOP selling out Florida wetlands and natural spaces. You are destroying the very thing that brings tourist money to the state.

It is economic suicide to destroy or compromise our natural resources. Nature watching generates ever increasing revenues. Protect the bird sanctuary. Sarasota must NOT be penny rich and pound foolish. Short term profits cannot replace nor generate new natural resources.

This is taxpayer land. It belongs to us. Keep it as is for our greater good and to help save Sarasota as a desirable place to live and visit.
