We do not want or need an industrial recycling plant in this area. Do not destroy the Celery Fields and all the animals and birds living on and around the area.

Enough is enough. You have a responsibility to the community. Don't fail us again like you did by destroying wetlands for Whole Foods!

I can't believe the county will stoop so low to even consider this to happen. Is it just for the $$$$$. It's bad business. Political black mail at it's best! This area has become very popular and valuable as an eco-destination. There is plenty of other locations out east that won't impact residences, and area tourist. When the dump was at the end of Bee Ridge, we could smell it all the way to Cattlemen road. Stench is stench. This is not a location for this type of facility. You spent so much money to build up the Lakewood ranch area to pull tourist, what will be their first view of Sarasota coming down the interstate? yuck! What an impression, visual and smell!

The Celery Fields area has become far too popular and valuable as an eco-destination. Please do not ruin it with a recycling plant next to it. There are plenty of alternative sites for a recycling plant.

The public is dead set against this latest threat to the natural & economic health of the Celery Fields area! The amount of money and effort already put in to this area plus the eco-tourist dollars brought in from the Celery Fields proves it is worth it to EXPAND the protected area- not diminish its value as a public recreational destination, an outdoor nature classroom for our youth and a nationally known birding attraction by hemming it in with development!! Please re-think and listen to Sarasota Audubon (who has publically come out against you plan to sell & develop the surrounding area) -along with many other concerned groups, visiting tourists and Sarasota county citizens !!

Not only a beautiful preserve, but the gateway to many lovely residential areas. I live less than 1/2 mile from The Celery Fields on purpose. Please don't ruin one of the sanctuaries enjoyed by many.

Turning natural beauty into an eyesore and destroying thru pollution the natural habitat recently enhanced and created shows twisted thinking and planning.

This is one of the most beautiful and serene places. Please don't spoil it. It would be so cruel.

Which one of the County Commissioners would like to live just down the road from this proposed facility?
