I live in North Port and there is nothing like celery fields anywhere in Florida. It's a well kept area and the wildlife has adapted well. No where else in any surrounding county can I find certain birds. It's a gold mine for wildlife. I believe it's because of its openness and peace and isolation. So few places like this exist. Please protect it from industry.

I have lived in this area for the past 22 years, this area is close to many residential homes and by the beautiful nature of The Clelery Fields! How could Sarasota County allow this to happen!?

This is not an appropriate location for a recycling plant, if you keep heading East on Fruitville there are plenty of locations.

The county has invested too much into the Celery Fields to let world-class birding be disrupted by big machinery moving 35-foot high piles of construction recycling around from dawn to dusk, destroying this otherwise verdant, peaceful and pristine park. Is this the backdrop we want international birders to see? Is this how Sarasota puts on its vest face for our residents and tourists alike at this essential and vulnearable wildlife sanctuary?? Ask the Sarasota County Commissioners to vote NO on the rezoning requests.

Totally against this project. The roads cannot handle the traffic, and the pristine celery fields ecosystem will be compromised. The commission cannot have it both ways. They granted a total of 600 new homes to be built in the area and now want to turn around and allow a mismatched industrial site in the months following?. This area has been developed into a residential area. The industrial zone is no longer compatible.

This proposed facility is not consistent with the ecology of the celery fields. Please reconsider the location!

I've lived in this area for over 30 years and have seen the change from celery fields to this beautiful wildlife refuge and amazing natural surroundings that locals and tourists come from all over to see, don't let money and greed change what so many people have worked so hard to create!
