This is highly unnecessary. Don't ruin our city even more with more traffic and housing. Leave the fields alone!

This is one of the best non-beach places in Sarasota to go. It promotes healthy living by providing trails for any type of walker. It's safe, I go there by myself and feel safe. It provides a habitat for many animals. Please keep this land free!!

Don't put the industrial recycling plant next to the Celery Fields, this will contaminate the bird sanctuary. Thank you, Alice Novak

Celery Fields was created to control water and to protect bird life. It is a success. Thousands of birds nest here, joined by wintering species who make the Fields a huge draw for birders. Beyond the economic value the birds of the Fields bring to Sarasota, what place does a landfill have in an area that draws tourists and abuts handsome communities that will have to live with the traffic, noise and stench of waste? I'm from Lee County. I love Celery Fields, visiting frequently to enjoy the birds. Please do not make a short-sighted decision with long-term negative consequences.

Save the wildlife! The county always wants to destroy our little bit of nature we have left. Take a place you already ruined to make something like that. Don't make mother nature suffer for your greed.

This absolutely unacceptable that our county is even considering this. What's the purpose of building the big hill? So we can go to the top and look at the trash. You approve this we will NOT reelect you! Come on guys this area is for our families and children to enjoy! VOTE HELL NO
