Please save this bird sanctuary and wonderful area to go to. It is one of the few beautiful and peaceful places to go in Sarasota.

Please reconsider the placement of the recycling center. The disruption to wildlife, birds, etc., is far too great a price to pay for this area. Surely there are more appropriate places in Sarasota County to use for recycling materials, etc.

Is this a strategy by the developer to suggest such a horrific use for this land so that if everyone objects ..., then his initial horrific proposal won't look so bad (the industrial distribution hub of non-stop tractor trailer traffic). Come on! the town essentially gifted this land to them well below true value and on the sly .... if this is the applications they come up with then refund their little bit of money and take the land back.

It's not a very bright idea to industrialize an area that is none as a bird sanctuary or refuge.

The celery fields are one of the finest parks we have----keep it pristine and beautiful, without a recycling plant next to it.

This location is a beautiful place for family to walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery in Sarasota. To ruin this would be a tragedy.

The iconic celery fields are a highlight destination for many of those who love to walk and birdwatchers. Imagine being neighbors with a recycling center. Please make this ridiculous idea Stop!!! Enough already!!!

Surely the is another area available. I have lived in Florida 25 years and have watched as more and more of the natural habitat is distroyed.

After all the work to make this little piece of paradise why muck it up! This city is already ripping up pasture lands, pristine preserves to build. Please leave Celery Fields alone and keep it serene, peaceful and a beautiful place to see living nature.

Shameful! Educate yourselves! We will remember who voted!

I oppose the building of the recycling plant on Palmer Road and any plans to disturb the bird sanctuary or the property value of our homes. Build it someplace else, where it won't poison the residents.

Placing an industrial level operation so close to a peaceful sanctuary will negate the point and value of the sanctuary. We need to protect our green spaces and find a better location collaborate on a solution so all stakeholders are satisfied...and yes, the birds ARE stakeholders.
