Palmer pad can not handle any more traffics especially after the 2500 home development being added at Palmer and Iona. This is crazy to put that kind of development next to one of the most popular parks and natural habitat left!

That would serve no purpose there. It would be put there for all the wrong reasons. Please consider not doing it.

I've been running and practicing there since 2012. Beautiful wildlife, and definitely a place worth salvaging.

Please do not build a recycling plant near, on or by the Celery Fields in Sarasota. It is a fragile eco-system which supports wildlife...amazing variety of birds..and invaluable nature.

I am a fifth generation Sarasotan and this is part of my growing up and it has become a landmark for Sarasota and the Nature and the Birds, please do not destroy it, this is a very important piece of land.

This would be a tragedy. Any politician okaying it will be defeated in next election: count on it.

I live close by and love visiting the Celery Fields! It would be terrible to see this pollution hurt the wildlife.

Really I'm not surprised. Sarasota is a microcosm of all the current bad policy that is ruining this country. But I'm curious. Is it stupidity or corruption that's informing this particular ridiculous zoning consideration? Because, really, there are no other reasons someone would even consider putting an industrial processing center next to a nature preserve.

This makes me sick, our wild life sanctuaries are being depleted day by day

Why not use the existing grounds at the dump already? Why would you use land that abuts to a wild bird habitat? What is wrong with our zoning laws in this county? Answer: TRICK QUESTION, THERE ARE NONE!!
