In just a few short years, Sarasota's Celery Fields have become known world-wide as an optimum spot for birders. Eco-tourism has hit record highs. This plant will drive the birds away, and will result in drastically lowered tourism revenues for Sarasota. Please see this for the awful, awful idea that it is.

This has become a nationally known area for birdwatching. Leave the Celery Fields alone.

Please don't disrupt the beauty and serenity of our Celery Fields. We bike from our home there to bird watch, exercise & watch the sunset.

I live in this area and am sad about all the building that is taking place already out here. When is it a priority to save land for the wild life. People come from all over to enjoy watching the birds and deer and Florida wild life. Please stop over building and killing the natural habitat that was here first.

My family and I just built out forever home on Palmer. No recycling center on Palmer. Many families' lives will be ruined

You are destroying property in a beautiful area where there are nice homes and companies. Go further out east!

As a real estate professional, I am extremely concerned about how this recycling plant will affect our property values, not the surrounding nature preserve and bird sanctuary.

I'm sure you can find a better place for a recycling plant - say near the airport or in another secluded location where we don't enjoy nature quite as much.

Birding brings in a ton of revenue. Protect this economic and environmental resource. The Celery Fields also helps filter water before it goes to the bay. Please do not ruin a good good thing for Sarasota.
