The Cask is a staple for this town, a highlight of South Cliff, it is a community asset.

As a longtime supporter of the Cask and Scarborough Jazz I am sad that it should come to an end. I would buy shgares in a community Enterprise if such were formed to purchase the Cask and keep it going...

Why close it? Well attended functions must have good bar takings. If someone can afford to buy and keep as a pub it would make a fortune

Hard to believe it doesn't or can't make a profit, it seems well used.

This pub is a Scarborough landmark, famous for its jazz nights and welcoming atmosphere. It would be sorely missed.
