As a Sheffield resident and regular visitor to Scarborough in recent years, I think the closure of the Cask would be a terrible loss both to the community and to the jazz scene in the north. Good luck with your campaign!

I've been going to this pub for more than 20 years. It's such a valuable asset to the community, to musicians and anyone who appreciates live music.

It would be a travesty to allow such a successful community asset to be sold off without a condition of sale that it remains as a Public House. The venue is well known far and wide for its association with live music, particularly Jazz and blues, and is a conduit for developing the young rising musicians of the future.

The Cask is a community venue. Keep it for locals to meet up who would otherwise avoid the more rowdy pubs. Its used for so many people not just musicians and the choir that use it and it would be a travesty to lose it.
